Privacy Policy for Toddler Days

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information about your child for tracking purposes:

• Daily health metrics (hydration, sleep, nutrition, etc.)
• Preschool attendance records
• Health status and medication logs
• Developmental milestone records

2. How We Store Your Data

• All data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore).
• Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
• Data is scoped to your family group and not shared with third parties.

3. Data Sharing

• Data is shared only between family members you explicitly invite via share codes.
• We do NOT sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or third parties.
• Anonymized, aggregated statistics may be used for app improvement.

4. Data Retention

• We retain your personal data and child tracking logs only for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide you with the app's services.
• When you delete your account (via the in-app "Delete Account" option in Settings), all associated data — including your user profile, child profiles, daily logs, and family group data — is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our servers within 30 days.
• We do not retain backups of deleted account data beyond this 30-day window.
• Anonymized, aggregated data that cannot be linked back to any individual may be retained indefinitely for analytics and app improvement purposes.

5. Your Rights

• You may delete your account directly from within the app by going to Settings → Delete Account. This will permanently remove all associated data.
• You may also request deletion of your data by contacting support@toddlerdays.app.
• You have the right to access, export, or correct your personal data at any time by contacting us.

6. Children's Privacy

• This app is designed for use BY parents/guardians, not by children directly.
• We comply with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) guidelines.

7. GDPR Compliance

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) including the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@toddlerdays.app.
